Actually, I just randomly named it Damaged Basic Laser to explain why it has negative shield piercing. No reference to other mods is intended. :P

Edit: Besides, I think it was a burst laser - if you're talking about the mod I think you're talking about.

Anyone know how to create new victory conditions?

Not sure what you mean.
Victory conditions are:
-Destroyed (You blew them up)
-DeadCrew (You killed them and took their stuff)
-Surrendered (They're yellow-bellied space-weenies.)
->Note that Surrender relies on hull damage, so if you board them and beat them to a pulp, they may be down to the last man but will never Surrender to you.

Any of these can trigger proper events, but they are the only "victory conditions" I am aware of.

Er. Game ending-victory conditions. Is that also hardcoded?

Wait. Are you telling me the game will never end and go to the victory screen unless the player kills the final boss? The final boss that everyone is reporting trouble modding?

you can make a quest that ends up to a thing that crashes the game as a 'victory'

Yea, the rebel boss has hardcoded splattered all over it, you can do some changes on it but very, very, few.

Example:

Basic Laser can deal 1 damage. However, it has 0 shield piercing.

Damaged Basic Laser also deals 1 damage, but it has -1 shield piercing.

Will both lasers damage shields, or will Damaged Basic Laser be useless against shielded ships?

Finally found the time to answer my question. Negative shield piercing is equal to 0 shield piercing.

Hi, when I make ships with superluminal my ships are not centred on screen well.
I posted on a different thread the problem that looks the most obvious before but NewAgeOfPower says it is to big to fit in game naturally, but the reality is that happens to literally every ship I make no matter if it is the size of a federation scout or the size of the rebel flagship.

I haven't updated Superluminal for a month or two so if this was fixed or is there a tool to position the ship then that would be nice to know. This literally happens to every ship I make that isn't using an unmodified hull, once I change it in any way, even recolour or what ever, then it goes anywhere on a screen it wants, there was a time where the ship was completely off the screen.

Is it something to do with GIMP or something to do with the editor?

My latest ship, Frankenstein, replaces the Artillery Beam with a different weapon. It has a 10/8/6/4/2 second cooldown, but the upgrade screen still says the 50/40/30/20 second cooldown + 25 second cloak for level 5.

Is there a way to change that text? I haven't been able to find anything yet.

Junkyard has FTL mods, mostly ships and a few other things.

If the image is correctly cropped, use "Calculate Optimal Offset"

Otherwise, crop the image correctly, then apply the above.

IIRC, you can change Augmentation descriptors in Blueprints.xml, best bet is to start poking around in there.

Consider checking out the FTL File Structure Resources Guide

And to everyone else, super sorry about being gone for awhile, and I'll try to get back by next year. : /
