Engines can't be accessed because of default slots.

As for drones, it might be due to FTL not supporting more than 3 drone slots. Or maybe having multiples of the same drone bugs FTL somehow. That's just pure guessing on my part, though.

To fix the hull image not being in line with rooms, you have to modify the img tag's values in shipname.xml - they move the ship's hull image around.
Also, play around with the ELLIPSE property in shipname.txt - so that the shield flare and drone orbit actually fit with the ship. Also, I really think you should include some sort of shield graphic -- it's just confusing to not see any indicator that you are safe.

As for redesigning the ship, well, my editor may make the process less time-consuming.

Your Editor is a lot nicer once you learn to use it. But I've been having a problem giving it starting weapons. Other then that, it's fixed like ALL the problems I've had xD But I still have the weapons issue. So I'm ALMOST done fixing this ship!


Edit: PRoblem fixed. AND SO! time to test it for the proper Elipse XD


EDIT: X.X ALMOST FINISHED! I noticed a door issue that I have to fix. So on to re-create a last time xD Then everything should be perfect once I fix the Eclipse.

Hey no problem, that why I make videos, to both show some problems and to just show people the cool ships to play around withy

UPDATED:

The features updated:


  • Removed Augments
  • Changed replacement ship- Now Replaces the Kestral. If you want it to replace a different ship message me and I'll create a second file. I've found that some people haven't unlocked the Mantis yet.
  • Fixed the Manning Engines bug
  • Fixed the shield Ecclipse
  • Reduced total drones to 3
  • Reduced starting Drone Parts to 20
  • Reduced health to 20
  • Renamed class to Goa'uld Ha'tak
  • Added starting Crystal Member to replace the Second version's starting Rock Member

Everything SHOULD be fixed now. I'll also upload new pictures as well.

(This requires either Weaponanza or Diversity I believe. Hence the one missing weapon x.x I have both of them and completely suggest using them! But yes, it works with those installed and such. So don't mind that.)

Shout-outs: I've started work on an Automated vessel here as well. I haven't named it yet or anything. But I'll eventually make things work out. If my second ship comes out better I'll start taking requests XD until then! Keep tuned for my newest creation! :3

Thank you all for your feed-back and support! It'S GREATLY APPRECIATED! Also may I note: I completely endorse FTL: Faster Then Light Starship Editor/Creator: Superluminal It takes a little getting used to after using FTLEdit but I find it to be MUCH easier.

As far as i know, there is no problem using 4 drone slots. The only problem is, the interface will look a little ugly. But thats all. Of course, if u already have 4 weapon slots, and u put 4 drone slots, and u have available almost all the systems, the interface will look completely out of place. Thats the reason the maximum number of drones u can use without disturbing the interface is 3. But u can use more. The thing is, the game uses the same interface graphic for 2 drone slots and more than 3. Because there are only 2 graphics that the game uses, one that is used for 3 drone slots, and the other one that is used for 1-2 drone slots. More drone slots than 3, the game will pick the 1-2 drone slots graphic..

I always loved Stargate, it looks like a nice mod, maybe u could get a better ship graphic, its really bad :) , but it looks a nice to play ship

Yea tell me about it x.x I've been searching for a better Base Sprite for a while now. ~.~ There aren't any good ones so far that fit the colorful style of FTL but I'm still searching xD I'll update it when I find it so no problem ^^

Hm, i remember doing a 3d model in sketchup time ago when i was modding for GSB, let me try to find it and make a render, but im afraid i lost it when my hd was completely burned 2 years ago :lol: , but with a bit of luck i can find a backup somewhere.. if u have sketchup, u just need to browse the gallery and find a model. Then u need to texture it and render it..

Anyways, i found this (its clearly a sketchup top view screenshot lol.) -> its not a colored graphic, but u can do it easily on any image editting program, since its a

With a little paint work, u can make a lot better ship than the actual one...

No problem, Its just i was really feelling too bad seeing that model u got in the mod.. loving so much stargate, u must understand me :lol: anyways, u should make a stargate complete mod, i mean u should work on tauri ships, asgard ships, wraith ships, etc.. that will be great.. ^^

More difficult than you'd think, Speed. I was considering it...then I plugged the Asgard ships into photoshop and really looked at their dimensions. The Belisknir might be possible, but the O'Neill is flat out. It's way too wide. The Ori ship would just look bad, and there's really only one viable Ancient ship. Though, the Wraith might be doable. At any rate there's only like...six or seven ships that would be workable, I think.

That said, I've got my set of three pretty much done. I was using a bad image for the Aurora as a layout reference so I have to reflect it back over the X-axis and redo the layout, but the other two just need to be combed over for errors and bad references. I should be able to put them all up to join Zanako's Ha'tak soon.
