It was on one of my first tries, and I had decided to save a slave - don't remember if I bought it or received him from a slave ship that wanted to escape. So, he joins my crew, and we proceed on our long trip.
A little bit later, things went downhill, there were breaches, my ship was on fire, oxygen was running down. My men started falling, one by one.
As I watched then go down, I felt a little bit sad, and very anxious and full of despair because I didn't know what to do. I watched, motionless, the last man alive on the wheels of the ship, awaiting my orders.
It was my ex-slave, faithful to the final moments. I mentally saluted him when he finally succumbed.
And that's why I always, always rescue the slaves when I have the chance.
When the last man to go down was a slave...

The slave ship is probably the best enemy you can bump into. Allways take the slave over scrap, you never know what race they will belong to and what unique abilities they will bring.
