Please help. Zoltan Cruiser Quest bug.

I went to the quest marker and chose the peaceful route.
Got the Zoltan 'Envoy' but there was no indication of having gotten the Zoltan Cruiser.
I checked the Stats section and it would just shuffle through the ships I already have namely:
Kestrel, Bulwark, Taurus and Nesasio.
Am I doing anything wrong? Will it appear in my Hangar? I'm scared to reset the game.
