pre-igniter on charge weapons

It seems that if I have a charge weapon, like that laser that has 3 charges max, it only pre-ignites one charge.
This makes them a pretty bad combo.
A burst laser would have about the same charge time but comes fully pre-ignited.
Is this intentional, or a bug?

It's intentional. There are 2 types of weapons the pre-igniter doesn't help much: Fast charging (Ion 2) and charge weapons.
It still works wonders for pretty much everything else.

Third weapon category that isn't much affected by the Weapon Pre-igniter is the chain weapons.
And I guess it's very much intentional, just image a Vulcan Chain Laser that is fully charged at the beginning of a fight. Or two of them.

I like pre-igniter with chain weapons. Mitigates their single biggest detriment: That first long charge time.

Slightly useful for chain weapons, but effects greatly diminished. Pre-igniter + flak and beams or 3 burst lasers are much better than Pre-igniter + 2 Vulcans.

what are the weapons of this game , i want to play it and im curios of that weapon charging
