So with Slug A, i wanted to switch immediately to the dual lasers after firing with the Breach 1.
So after the weapon 'fired', that is, the cooldown had started over, I immediately turned it off to turn on the Dual Laser. No bomb appears, no -1 in missiles.
If the cooldown has restarted and already charged again for a bit, it seems it should be fired... every other weapon works like that I believe.

All weapons work relatively similarly. With a Burst Laser, the first projectile fires *immediately* so the it will shoot, but then the weapon will power off before firing the rest. With something like a bomb where the firing animation takes longer than a single frame, then the weapon needs to remain powered throughout the entirety of the firing animation.
