Did you know that you can run a fourth injured crew through a full medbay and he or she will be healed?
Did you know that if you have boarders on the enemy ship, you can still target them when they cloak?
Did you know? List little tips and tricks here!

Did you know that moving a Zoltan into an ionized room negates the ion effect?
Did you know that crew chooses the position in a room in the following order: a.mannable station, b.top left, c.top right, d. bottom left, e.bottom right (useful for fighting specific enemies with specific crew members)?

There are only two possible events with a plasma storm but no ship if you have long ranged sensors or a sector scan info. One of those gives a blue option for upgraded piloting that gives valuable rewards, while otherwise trying to get something risks losing a crew member. If you see such a beacon, it may be wise to spend the 20 scrap to upgrade your piloting before visiting it.

Auto-ships cannot repair hull breaches, and because a breached room cannot be repaired, hull breaches are their greatest weakness.

There is no event that has a blue option for upgraded oxygen.
Lvl 3 oxygen can negate a hullbreach. If you open a door adjacent to a hullbreach you take no suffocation damage while repairing.
In nebula sectors consider upgrading sensors to 2. Some nebula events can be solved with a slug crewmember, some with long range scanners, but both types can always be solved with upgraded sensors(except for 1 which can be solved by long range scanners or a teleporter).

If you want more crew it is a good idea to upgrade the medbay, as it gives many blue options for getting crew or negating the risk of losing one. You also get a lot of extra crew options with a teleporter (in addition to sometimes being rewarded with a crew member when you kill an enemy crew instead of blowing up the ship.)

Lies. The slug that disables your oxygen and uses fire weapons-with lvl 2 oxygen you can have 1 bar of oxygen active.

Wrong, lvl 3 maybe, but not 2.

1) "While using the Slug Cruiser, kill 3 enemy crew members with one shot from the Anti-Bio Beam"
You can get this cheevo by killing your own boarding party with the Anti-Bio Beam. I got this by accident, unaware that I could hurt my own people with it. Killed 1 enemy + 2 of my guys with one shot.
2) Anti-Bio Beam, Boarding Drone and Anti-Personnel drone give you blue options against the notorious giant alien spiders.
3) Enemy crew gives priority to shield room above all others. For instance, if you have 2 crew members fighting against a single crew in the enemy's weapons room and you send one of your guys to the shield room, the enemy crew will follow him as soon as your guy starts bashing the shields.
4) For ships that start with a teleporter: find an enemy ship with a med bay and inoffensive weaponry. Board them, beat the enemy crew till they go heal themselves. Bash their systems to gain xp points (your guys make fighting xp points for every energy bar they deplete on a system). Back to your ship when you need healing. Let them repair the stuff you destroyed. Jump back in the enemy ship. Rinse and repeat. You will get your guys leveled up to full in no time. Note: try not to destroy the systems completely otherwise the hull takes damage.

If you beat a slave ship by killing its crew, you'll be offered a choice of slaves to take aboard your ship.
